It doesn't cost more to put a few extra words in your e-mails, especially to strangers!
Thank You, Please, You're Welcome or Can You Help? are appreciated by everyone. What would you rather get: an entire e-mail solely consisting of "paypal payment information has been sent" or "Thanks for purchasing my auction item, payment information has been sent through Paypal. Please let me know if you have any questions". It takes maybe ten seconds more of your time and we can all afford that!
Many times we all forget to be respectful of others, especially when SHOUTING in caps, or just sending notes that appear rude which was certainly not the intent, but it sure comes across that way!
