The piece had a pre-auction estimate of $4,000 - $6,000 and wound up being sold at an astounding $30,800.
The paper-mache rabbit and duck also sold well over the pre-auction estimate of $2,000 - $3,000 with a final price of $12,100. Luckily both toys will be still be available for the public to enjoy -- this time at another museum, the Old Salem Toy Museum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
