Unusual Flea Market Finds

This was an amazing find that did not come home with me. Approximately five feet long and maybe 24" tall at it's highest, this was certainly a labor of love for the craftsman that created the building. It appears to be a re-creation of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. The dealer was told that it was used in a movie and it could have been a church in Florence, but doesn't have anymore information on that.

At one time the building had electricity and the windows would be lit up. It could use a bit of restoration, but personally I would leave it as-is.

There are pews in the main hall and a bell in the steeple. The top domes lift off, apparently for ease in moving as there is nothing visible when removed. (The gold crosses are not a part of the structure.)

If I had a place to properly showcase this, I would certainly have given it serious thought and I'm not even Catholic!
