This was part of the Mystery Antique of the Week series.

Need a handy gadget lift eggs after cooking them? This appears to be the purpose of this aluminum tool. The side of the cone has instructions on how long to cook eggs for desired finished product. Eggs in their shells can be nestled into the cradle and put into the boiling water.

Soft boiled, medium boiled and hard boiled times are given. Unfortunately the printing is stamped into the aluminum and very small, hence hard to show on a picture.

  • Material: Aluminum
  • Size: 6" high
  • Circa: 1950s
  • Values: $10.

I do wonder if this is a stand-alone piece made to put into the sauce pot of your choice, or came complete with it's own pot? If you have more information, please feel free to share.
