Everyone wants a "piece" of their favorite celebrity and when it comes to Cher, there were a lot of bidders, with deep pockets, just waiting for their chance.
On October 3 and 4th, Sotheby's along with Julien's auctioned off the Collection of Cher with prices far exceeding the pre-auction estimates. Would you believe a total of $3,536,940?
Highest priced item was $204,000 for her black 2005 Bentley Continental GT Coupe.
The biggest surprise, wasn't really that much of a shocker, as many of her gasp-producing outfits fetched prices many times their estimates. The highest price paid for an outfit was for the infamous Bob Mackie designed Rock n' Roll Outfit, getting a high bid of $50,000, but estimated at only $2,000 -$3,000.
