More Fenton Jars

Fenton only produced a few Opalescent cookie jars. A Blue Opalescent Hobnail (value around $900.), and a French Opalescent Hobnail jar were both made in the 1940s. These jars are extremely rare.

Other Cookie Jars
Fenton made a "Big Cookies" or "Macaroon" jar in the early 1930s. These were made in opaque colors and are usually found in Jade, Black and Moonstone. The shape is the same as the hobnail jars, but have a different mold design on the sides. At the same time they also did a few jars in transparent colors -- green and amber are two that are known.

Later, in the 1962 - 1964 era, a Milk Glass Hobnail was produced, but in a different shape than the jar shown.

Reproduction note:
Fenton never reproduces the same mold in the exact same color. A mold may be re-used, but the color will always be different. There is always something different to distinguish it from the original piece, therefore a little research will help the collector decide just when an individual piece was made.
