Two fabric items in my collection include the handmade Golliwog and Robert Raikes' Little Jasmine holding a black doll.
Golliwog was created in 1895 by Florence Upton, but the image/character was not copyrighted and he soon became a popular character across the U.K. One reason he has remained popular for over 100 years is because of the James Robertson & Sons. The U.K. company started using Golliwog as their advertising mascot in the early 1900s and he wasn't retired until 2001.

More on Black/African Americana Collectibles:
Note:The prices shown are suggested ranges only. Values shown are a combination of book values, online completed auctions and collectible dealers. Many times bargains can be found at online auctions and, at other times, a bidding war can cause greatly inflated prices, those are not always a true value. Consideration must be taken into account as to when auction was held, images used, condition, category, and description. All of these things can greatly affect the price realized.
