Fleer Inscribed Baseball

From Mike Eisner, for About.com

Oct 5 2004
What do you get when you stuff four big, fat, juicy, low-serial numbered game-worn memorabilia and/or autographed cards into an 12-count box of baseball cards?

You get a hobby box of 2004 Fleer Inscribed baseball, my friends.

Inscribed retails for $9.99 per pack.

Here’s what we pulled in our hobby box:

  • Names of the Game autograph Reggie “Mr.October” Jackson #/99
  • Names of the Game memorabilia: Carl Yastrzemski #/250
  • Names of the Game memorabilia: Hideki “Godzilla” Matsui #/150
  • Award Winners memorabilia: Barry Zito #/175
  • Facsimile Signature Gold: Tom Glavine #/199

In addition to the cards listed above, we did not pull a single duplicate base card out of the entire box. In other words – perfect collation!

There is a certain allure to Fleer Inscribed. The base card design is one of the best that Fleer has produced this year and the “money” cards were just that – “money.”

All tolled, this product ranks among the season’s best. Go out and grab some at your local card shop.
