Old World Christmas is not only one of the older figural glass ornament companies in the United States, they are one of the most popular ornament companies and certainly the most affordable too!
Old World Christmas
Tim and Beth Merck founded the company and are credited with reintroducing figural glass ornaments to the United States. The company was founded in 1979 and is based in Spokane, Washington.
Over 900 glass ornaments are in each year's line, along with light covers and the popular annual Santa Night Light.
Santa Night Lights
For twenty-five years Old World Christmas has produced an annual Santa Night Light. The inspiration for the first light was a plastic Santa figure that was owned by Tim Merck's grandmother when he was growing up. Since the company was already designing and manufacturing light covers, the Santa Night Light was a natural addition.

Glistening Ornaments
Shown here are their newer and most interesting designs -- the Glistening line of ornaments, beautifully hand-painted pieces reminiscent of the limited edition designer ornaments costing much more.
Traditional and Inside Art Ornaments

Sunflower Ornaments
When I saw these gorgeous Old World Christmas glass sunflower ornaments I just had to have them. They immediately brought to mind Van Gogh's sunflower paintings and inspired me to have a summer/fall flower arrangement created by a favorite florist.
Old World Christmas 2001
A look back to the year of 2001 when there was a new direction for the company, as they moved production of many of their ornaments to China. The company also discontinued their famous star hanger at this time.
