Collecting Holiday items is one of the most popular forms of collecting, with numerous sub-categories that include antique, new and handcrafted pieces.
Ornaments, Santas, Angels, Nativities can be found in all price ranges and in stores ranging from Walmart to Neiman Marcus. In fact it's a little too easy to get carried away with Christmas collecting, there's just too much of everything and so hard to choose. If you like the newer, more modern pieces, try and find the company that fits your taste, life and budget and go from there!
If you're drawn to the vintage and antique pieces, but can't find the items or afford the price, there are lots of great looking reproduction and antique-looking pieces available. One example is Radko's Shiny Brite line, well-made pieces reminiscent of the ornaments from the original Shiny Brite company in the fifties and sixties.
