A Very New York Christmas

The Bottom Line

I love New York and there is nothing better than going to New York for the Christmas holidays, so it would be hard for me not to like this book! But I more than I like, I love it and it's going to quite a few friends on my gift list for 2008.

Guide Review - A Very New York Christmas

Although many cities will have special Christmas and winter holiday traditions, there is nothing like a New York Christmas.

Michael Storrings' book A Very New York Christmas captures the feeling and spirit of the holiday perfectly. Storrings' book is filled with his watercolor scenes that have graced Landmark Creations glass ornaments for the past few years.

Each two page section has illustrations and/or ornament images, along with a bit of history about the New York City area pictured. There is also a charming anecdote or two taken from other sources, such as a movie, song or book. If you have a favorite memory of the City, it's sure to be included in the book, from the Statue of Liberty to the Brooklyn Bridge.

The book is small in size, but big in art.
