The Bottom Line

It's only fitting that the majority of the items shown in this book are from the Beistle Company, the Halloween company! But Claire M. Lavin also includes chapters on other manufacturers including The Dolly Toy Company.

With 160 pages of paper Halloween die-cuts and paper items from 1950 through 1985, this book will be invaluable to those trying to date and find out more about Halloween collectibles.

Guide Review - Time for Halloween Decorations

Halloween die-cut paper and cardboard items have been plentiful and remained popular over the years. The colors and designs are appealing to all ages and people bought and used them. Today collectors can still find those vintage Halloween paper items, but because they were used -- they were not always saved and the prices reflect their scarcity.

Lavin's second book on Halloween collectibles and decorations fills in a few items not covered in the first book Timeless Halloween Collectibles, 1920-1949 and shows Halloween collectibles made by Beistle in the 1950 - 1985 time period.
