Upper Deck SP Signature Golf

Now we know why Upper Deck has been the only card manufacturer granted a license from the PGA to produce golf cards – because they get it right with products like SP Signature.

Upper Deck continued on last year’s significant improvements of its signature high-end Golf product by including in every six-pack box, six 8x10 autographed cards, and six event-worn thread cards, on average.

And, to spice it up a little bit, SP Signature contains numerous variations and serial-numbered parallels to the 8x10 collection, as well as dual and triple-signed 8x10s.

We were fortunate enough to have been supplied a factory-sealed hobby box from Upper Deck PR “Guru” Don Williams, and it did not disappoint.

For starters, we pulled an 8x10 autograph of Annika Sorenstam. Bingo!

We then pulled two other nice cards – memorabilia cards of Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods! Double Bingo!

And while the rest of the cards were OK, the fact that we pulled an autograph and two memorabilia cards of three of the most prominent golfers in the history of the sport – in one box – was simply awesome!

SP Signature Golf retails at $29.99 per pack, with sealed six-pack hobby boxes solid sellers at $149.95.

As was the case with last year’s release, we simply love the concept of 8x10 autographs at one per pack. The player selection is as good as it gets, and with various new parallels and inserts, there seem to be more star autographs to go around.

We’d like to extend our congratulations to Upper Deck for putting out such a top-notch golf product. I am sure the PGA is proud.
