Travel Souvenir Collecting

What do you pick up on your travels? I like to have something to remind me of our trips, but there are only so many mugs or t-shirts a person can collect. Well, that actually might not be true about a collector. I guess we can never have too much of any particular item, but t-shirts have never quite been my passion.

So what do I pick up? I look for a Christmas ornament and a tacky snow dome from each destination. If I can find those two things, I'm a happy camper! Surprisingly the snow dome is usually hard for me to find, I almost always have to wait until we get to the airport gift shop for those. Christmas ornaments can also be hard to find, but since these are becoming more popular as souvenirs, more gift stores are stocking them.

Although I have everything from a hand-carved Raven on a totem pole from Alaska, to a bread dough ornament from Hawaii, it's the glass pieces that I am particularly fond of. Which brings me to the subject of this article -- Landmark Creations ornaments.
