Guide Review - Antique Trader's Antique & Collectibles Price Guide 2007
If you're looking for extensive resources in a specific category, this is not the book for you. But if you want a general guide that will gives tantalizing tidbits of information about numerous collectibles you may not be familiar with, this is a book that will be picked up and used time and time again.
Many people like to take their price guides with them on shopping excursions, this book is not big, but it's a bit heavy and not easily toted into the stores. But heavy also means it's chockful of resources, prices and pictures.
New categories for this edition include:
- Eyewear
Learn more about vintage sunglass frames. - Foxy Grandpa Collectibles
Four pages of listings for this early comic character. -
Lipstick Tubes
Two pages of figural lipstick tubes -
Snowman Collectibles
Over four pages of snowmen! -
Syroccowood
Three pages about the molded "wood" company from Syracuse. -
Harris Strong Ceramic Designs
Two pages about Strong's tiles.
I always like to find an interesting category to learn more about, this edition's pick is the Kitchenware category with 30+ pages of pictures and resources. Items include: creamers, egg cups, egg times and napkin dolls. I'm familiar with many of the items, but it was still fun to check out all the pictures and find stuff I haven't seen before.
If you're looking for an updated general guide -- check it out, you won't be disappointed!
