I used to sell all kinds of vintage collectibles on eBay, but a few years ago I found the scarf niche. Because my inventory is so compact, I can work anywhere and need very little storage. In fact, I travel a great deal, and travel doesn’t slow down my ability to keep selling. I just bring along my current inventory and continue to list auctions of scarves as I find them in my travels. Scarves can be shipped in envelopes and they never break in shipment, making them an ideal item to sell if you desire a simple online business.

This is typical of the scarves I sell by well-known designers whose scarves sell in major departments stores throughout the U.S. This scarf probably originally retailed for around $30. Used and in excellent condition, it sold for $14.99 on eBay.
