Glass Egg Ornaments

Arreola Designs

People may not decorate as lavishly as they do for the Christmas holidays, but many decorate for Easter -- even to the extent of doing a simple Easter tree. And egg ornaments have been growing in popularity for Easter. As ornaments, the perfect egg shape has been used for years for other holidays' ornaments, but of course, Easter is the perfect fit.

Egg ornaments can be found in many a multitude of materials and in a variety of intricacy, with just as wide a range of prices. Hallmark's plastic egg ornaments are just a few dollars and the 2003 pieces are reminiscent of the old fashioned sugar panorama eggs. "No-name" eggs ornaments can be found in many stores in their seasonal displays and the well known glass ornament designers have also come through for their collectors.

Christopher Radko, Old World and Patricia Breen both have produced excellent pieces over the years, ranging in price from $20. on up. Another ornament company that produces intricate egg ornaments is Arreola Designs, shown on right.

These limited edition pieces are a treasure to have or give. They're perfect on an Easter tree and a single egg would be very special nestled in a basket and given to a favorite person. Unfortunately, these glass eggs are just as fragile as the real thing, so might not be a perfect present for a young person.
