Did you know
the first souvenir snowdomes were made to commemorate the Eiffel Tower? Although I am not sure when the first Disney snowglobe was produced, they're very popular as evidenced by these prices realized at online auctions.

- Beauty and the Beast
A large snow dome produced in 1991 that drew 66 bidders on eBay. Beauty is at the top of the steps, the fireplace lights up and characters from the movie surround the globe.

Cinderella's Wedding Coach
The coach is metal with the frame holding the actual dome which is the carriage portion.

A large elaborate snowglobe that was available only at the parks has Tinker Bell in the midst of clouds and the Disney Castle. A "double-tiered" globe.

Touted as the original Toy Story snowglobe, the highly detailed piece is over 8" high and has many of the movie's characters.

The characters are flying around the Big Ben clock tower with Tinker Bell in a globe perched on top of the steeple. Over two feet tall!
