Over the years several jars have come out with one of my favorite Disney animal/characters -- Dumbo. I'll admit it, most of the older Disney movies can make me teary, but this one really turns on the tears when Dumbo and his mother are separated. When she reaches out with her trunk from between the iron bars of the cage to touch him -- the tears start flowing! So although I don't necessarily collect Dumbo stuff, I love the cookie jars.
Dumbo is one of the early Disney animated movies and according to the Disney Archives, it was inexpensive to make and helped Disney's bottom line after two earlier costly movies -- "Fantasia" and "Pinocchio". The movie will be re-released in June 2006.
