This is one of several Quaker Oats cookie jars that was offered through the employee stores. The only way to get a jar was if you knew someone who worked for the company, this particular jar was offered to the Cedar Rapids employees.
Although it's quite a bit larger than a regular bottle of syrup, the jar is very realistic-looking.
