The Pixie Line of ceramic kitchen accessories produced by Holt-Howard in the fifties is getting harder to find as its popularity and prices soars among collectors. But the one thing that's been missing from the line is a Cookie Jar! Holt-Howard never made a cookie jar in the line.

Grant-Howard Associates decided to remedy that long-ago omission by creating a Pixie Jar similar to, and matching, the vintage Pixies. John Howard of Grant-Howard, one of the original partners in Holt-Howard, wanted to give new collectors a chance to own a piece of Pixieware, but did not want to confuse collectors by re-doing an old piece. Hence, the Cookie Jar which was never a part of the original line.

The current designs were created by Curt Blanchard, an artist and designer who has been involved with cookie jars and ceramics for many years. Blanchard worked for Holt-Howard in the sixties and later was involved with Treasure Craft in the nineties. Blanchard is responsible for many of the jars that line our cookie jar shelves and currently has designed the other jars in the current Grant-Howard line.
