Definition:
Limited Edition
Often associated with prints, but seen with other items as well. Often manufacturers will make limited editions of certain "collectibles" as a way of guarantying to the collector that their item is not mass production. Since there are a fewer number of items, many times it will be more desirable, but that certainly is not always the case.
As an example, a collectible limited to 200 pieces is much more desirable than an item that is limited to a production year, those numbers could be in the many thousands depending on how many are sold.
