Tabletop Christmas Trees

By Barbara Crews, About.com

Tabletop trees are perfect for those who don't have the room for a full-size tree, but also for those who love to have Christmas touches throughout the house.

There are endless choices, but some of my choices would be a small antique feather tree, a live tree with Radko or one of the fun trees made for avid collectors.

Wonderland Express Tree from Thomas Kinkade

CollectiblesToday.com
I had a chance to show this tree to a few avid collectors, they loved it! Comments include: much larger than it looks in the pictures, really cute, would love to watch it with the room lights turned down and love the details.

And they're right! The pictures online are a little deceiving and the tree is larger than it looks, three trains go round and round the tree in different directions, while Santa flies by with his sleigh full of presents.

Not only will your little ones love this tree, it will also appeal to train collectors and those who love the works of Thomas Kinkade.

Rudolph and Friends Christmas Town Express Train Tree

CollectiblesToday.com
I absolutely love this little Rudolph and Friends tree. It's so cute, I don't know how anyone can not smile or feel in the Christmas spirit when looking at this tree.

The tree is 15" high, lights up with LED lights and has a moving train circling the base.

And of course Rudolph's nose lights up!

Antique Feather Tree

Barbara Crews
Antique feather trees are quite costly, so I decided we would stick to a small tabletop tree instead of a larger tree. This little tree looks great with miniature ornaments on it. You don't have to opt for an antique tree, new imported feather trees are available for just a few dollars, just remember to stick to small scale ornaments on the trees.

Nativity Tree from Thomas Kinkade

CollectiblesToday.com
It's not quite a nativity set and it's a little more than a Christmas tree. I've talked with a few stores and collectors love these Thomas Kinkade nativity trees.

The 16" illuminated tree tells the story of the nativity from the top of tree's angels, it shows the three kings traveling to Bethlehem and the manager at the base of the tree.

The sculpted tree has forty characters nestled among the branches and is the first nativity scene inspired by Thomas Kinkade. The exclusive from Hawthorne Village is illuminated, and musical (Silent Night).
