Taking Down the Christmas Trees

Christmas Lights

  • If the lights were working when tree is being disassembled, I will wrap them in a loose loop and use a pipe cleaner or twist tie to secure.
  • Wrap each set of lights in a sheet of tissue paper to keep them separate from each other or put each set into a gallon size plastic bag.
  • If a light string was not working when taken off the tree, do a quick check to see if the problem can be spotted. If the problem can't be found in a few minutes, put those lights in a separate box to work on later or to use the bulbs. Or, if it was an inexpensive string -- I just trash them! I hate spending hours on a $4 set of lights!
