Plastic Hallmark and Carlton Ornaments

Hallmark Nostalgic Houses and Shops

Barbara Crews
It's always best to keep the original boxes the Hallmark and Carlton ornaments come in. The values are always high if you later decide to sell and the ornaments are much safer.
  • As ornaments are removed from the tree, dust with a soft paint brush and check for damage.
  • Make, or add to, your inventory list. Now is the time to check the different series and see if you are missing individual years that you can look for over the slower, non-holiday months.
  • Wrap in original packing and put back in original boxes.
  • Store these cardboard boxes in a plastic tub, again throwing in a few silica gel packs if moisture is a problem.
  • Although temperatures are not as critical with these pieces, I always keep these ornaments in a bedroom closet.
