Created by Mara of the father and daughter team that is MaraMax, the 8th grader is already an avid collector. And that collection is what led to the creation of these incredibly useful light bulb holders.
Mara has been accompanying her dad, Michael to Golden Glow conventions for several years, amassing a fairly large collection of figural light bulbs along the way. When displaying the bulbs, she wound up using the burnt out bulbs as ornaments. When looking at the sockets her dad used on the feather trees they make, she realized she could use the sockets to hang her bulbs. Mara was wrapping a wire around the socket, when Michael figured out a way to attach a hook -- and soon the bulb hanger was born!
Two different sizes are made, the short one that is shown above and a longer weighted hanger that is made for figural pieces with the socket on the bottom of the bulb.
Today Mara also collects figural Italian ornaments and Gurley Novelty candles, great collections for an active middle school student!
