When first hearing that Vandor was doing a Superman and Batman jar, my first thought was -- oh no, not another one. I have five different Batman and five different Superman jars already, just how many jars can be made of the same character? Well, I should have known that Vandor always has a unique touch and would depict the Superheros in a very different way.
Vandor's new cookie jar (they call it a container) is different than anything you've ever seen. The base of the jar is ceramic, the middle is tin and the top is ceramic. Using tin for the middle allows the artist to really bring these characters to life. In the case of the Superhero containers, the tin portion depicts full colored comic strips around the entire jar. The "front" of the jar has the full figure bursting through the comic strip.
