Guide Review - Jan Foulke's Guide to Dolls: A Definitive Identification and Price Guide

This book is intended to help identify, learn more about and appraise dolls you may already own. It can also guide you when adding to your collection. The book is divided into two sections: Antique and Vintage Dolls and Modern and Collectible Dolls.

This is not Foulke's intial entry into the world of publishing, she has authored sixteen Blue Book of Dolls and Values guides.

The sections are arranged alphabetically by manufacturer. The book has an extensive index of doll names and manufacturers and a mold number index.

The book suggests a range of prices to pay for thousands of dolls. The suggested retail prices were gathered from antique shops and shows, auctions, internet sales, doll shops and shows, dealer web sites, advertisements in collector periodicals, lists from doll dealers, purchases and sales reported by both dealers and collectors.

The book also has sections on collecting dolls, selling dolls, as well as buying and selling at auctions.
