Guide Review - An Overview of Pacific Northwest Native Indian Art

Clint Leung owns the Free Spirit Gallery, an online gallery that specializes in Inuit Eskimo and Northwest Indian art. As with many forms of native art, reproductions and fakes are rampant in the field and Leung's book will help you figure out what's authentic, what the art means and where to buy it. But I appreciate it's not in anyway an infomercial.

The thirty-five page eBook includes numerous pictures, and chapters on totem poles and tribal masks. Also included are explanations and illustrations of the way the artists depict different animal eyes, noses and ears, as well as the leg, arms, wings and feathers. Every symbol on Native Indian art has different meanings and with a copy of Leung's eBook at hand, you'll be able to not only be able to decipher what the artist is telling you, but to appreciate it even more.
