This has always been one of my favorite books for an annual series. The 15th Edition of Toys & Prices 2008 is definitely a no-frills book, but loaded with lots of good information about the toys we collect and love. The book covers the beginning of the baby boom era to the next hottest thing on the toy shelves.
The color section in the middle of the book is a nice selection of toys through the years including items like Evel Knievel's 1974 action figure, advertising banks and jars, Fisher Price play sets, restaurant premiums to the always collector favorite -- lunch boxes.
At the beginning of each chapter is short piece authored by an expert in that particular field, along with the top ten toys of the category and trends to watch for in 2008.
Book includes:
- Information and listings for more than 32,000 toys.
- Over 2000 photograph
- New for 2008 is a section devoted to Spider-Man and an updated Star Wars chapter.
- A separate chapter at the back of the book is devoted to Collecting the Final Frontier, the original Star Trek and The Next Generation.
For those of us who are toy lovers and collectors, this is a great choice and at a very reasonable price.
