Bottom Line:
There is one thing that every value guide needs -- pictures, pictures and more pictures. This book satisfies that requirement and then some. Most pages have approximately 12 different images, along with scale size, model number and three values for MIP (Mint in Pack), Near Mint (NM) and Excellent (EX). It's a terrific resource guide for prices and company information on agricultural toys in all sizes.
More About the Book:
Not all farm toys are green, although it would be hard to prove around our household. John Deere is the company many think of when talking about farm toys and is covered extensively in this, the third edition of Standard Catalog of Farm Toys. But it's not all about green, there's lots of red too. In fact, International Harvester's chapter of 97 pages beats the Deere section by a few pages. Other companies, such as AGCO, Allis Chalmers, Case, New Holland and Massey-Ferguson are a few of the almost 75 different companies that are represented throughout the book in the individual chapters and in the A to Z Guide at the beginning of the book.
Each manufacturer's chapter is broken down into sections by scale, model and type of toy.
