The Official Guidebook to America's State Quarters
The Official Guidebook to America's State Quarters Probably no one is more qualified to write about America's latest collecting craze -- the new State Quarters than David Ganz, a member of the Citizens Commemorative Coin Advisory Committee.

Modern Collectible Tins Identification & Values
Modern Collectible Tins Identification & Values Are you looking for an affordable, but fun collection? Something that isn't too hard to find nor too fragile? How about something historical and colorful to boot?

Friends of the Metropolitan Library Book Sale
Hours before the doors opened the parking lot was full with cars from different states. Folks were already lining up surrounded by empty shopping carts, boxes and plastic bins on luggage carts. Anyone who has been there before was prepared, but the cleverest was someone who came with a few dozen flat cardboard boxes and a roll of shipping tape.

Toys & Prices 2008, 15th Edition
This has always been one of my favorites for an annual series. The 15th Edition of Toys & Prices 2008 is definitely a no-frills book, but loaded with lots of good information about the toys we collect and love from the beginning of the baby boom era to the next hottest thing on the toy shelves

Christmas Rarities
Christmas Rarities is a work of love that was almost four years in the making. Lightner literally traveled around the world to make this vision come true. He spent over 5000 hours on the book and succeeded in self-publishing a book that is already being used as reference material at auction houses.

Kovels' American Collectibles
It's a fascinating book and one that you'll enjoy picking up over and over again.

Collector's Guide to Don Winton Designs
Mike Ellis is quietly, but surely helping spearhead a revival of interest in Twin Winton designs and products. I recently had the chance to talk with Ellis about his book Collector's Guide to Don Winton Designs.

The Ultimate Collector's Encyclopedia of Cookie Jars
The latest offering from Fred and Joyce Roerig is mainly a re-do of their previous books, complete with the same pictures. It was a bit disappointing, I was hoping for more and different pictures of jars from the old established companies, as well as some of exciting pieces from companies such as Vandor and Disney -- these would have been well-received.

The Complete Cookie Jar Book
Many cookie jar books are available for collectors, they all have their strengths and good points. If you are a serious collector, the price of all the books combined would be less than the price of one good jar. I feel an assortment of cookie jar books should be on your bookshelf

Turn eBay Data Into Dollars by Ina Steiner

Eyeglass Retrospective
Eyeglass Retrospective, Have you thought about collecting glasses? This book will get your on your way to seeing the facts about lenses.

Genuine Value -- The John Deere Journey
A large coffee table-style book with a cover that looks like work boot prints in the dirt? A closer look reveals that the logo on the bottom of the work boot is a leaping Deere embossed in the dirt. But overall an uncolorful cover for a company known for making people think Green.

How to Think Like a Collector
It's actually a scary premise, thinking like Rinker. Without a doubt he is one of the top experts in the country, he is also known for his (very) strong opinions and is always ready to tell anyone just what they are.

Books for Collectors
If you're a collector, you probably have at least one or two books relating to your collection. Here are some of my picks

The Official Price Guide to Dolls
There are price guides and there are PRICE GUIDES.... clearly this is the latter. The huge 606 page book is what every collector likes to see. Prices and lots of them! Want to know what your Googlies or Frozen Charlottes are worth? Perhaps it's that Remco John Lennon in the back of your closet or maybe the Franklin Mint Dorothy of Oz doll you want more information on? This gives you a small idea of the scope of this book. Antique, vintage, and modern are all listed, explained and priced.

The Complete Cookie Jar Book
Many cookie jar books are available for collectors, they all have their strengths and good points. If you are a serious collector, the price of all the books combined would be less than the price of one good jar. I feel an assortment of cookie jar books should be on your bookshelf.

Gonder Ceramic Arts: A Comprehensive Guide
Jim & Carol Boshears are affectionately known as the Crazy Couple, spend five minutes with them and it will be apparent why that name fits them perfectly. They are certified appraisers of personal property, Jim is a licensed auctioneer and together they publish The Gonder Collector. As avid collectors of Gonder they felt there was a lack in the market of good information for the collector about the Gonder Pottery and decided to correct it.

Press Release: Peach Cobbler Murder
Joanne Fluke's Peach Cobbler Murder is the seventh entry in her best-selling series.

Toys and Prices 2005 -- 12th Edition
Another nice pricing guide has recently arrived here -- the 12th Edition of Toys & Prices 2005. Although there are hundreds of black and white pictures, along with a 16 page section of colored pictures, I consider this a no-frills book. This is not a bad thing, as it lists prices and lots of them!
