A lovely little softcover book exploring Santa over the years through the art of the postcard. Author Robert Hoffman's book takes you on Santa's travels at the turn of the last century up until the current time where modern day events set the scene.
Obviously the book is heavy with images, but also has lots of great information to go along with the various chapters and postcard images.
It's a great way to watch the evolution of Santa and the way we've celebrated the holidays -- from the serious Victorian Santa, Elvis in the Baby Boom era to Ronald Reagan dressed as Santa in the 1980s.
