Is there anything more exciting for a kid(or an adult!) than to get a autograph of a baseball player in person?

That thrill has carried over to kids of all ages, but it can be difficult to get that autograph in person. If you're going to a baseball game, go early while the teams are practicing. Many times players will come over to the fence and sign a few autographs. Another way is to visit the minor league parks, the players are much more accessible and usually happy to sign autographs. And they just might become a big star one day! Again, go early when the players are finishing up practice.

Of course you can buy autographs, as autograph signings have become a big business, check out the local card shows to see if any baseball players are making an appearance.

If you're not getting the autograph in person, be careful before purchasing an autograph from an unknown source, there are lots of forgeries being sold! Make sure the seller is reputable, although even letters of authenticity have been faked, try and get one and also a guarantee from the seller.
