Baseball Equipment

Swallow Brand Baseball Glove

Great Expectations/TIAS
It wasn't that long ago that used baseball gloves would hardly get a second glance at the flea market or antique shows. Today they are quickly snatched up as more collectors get into vintage game equipment. Keep an eye out for the old equipment, look for endorsed pieces. Although most of it won't rise to astronomical figures, prices have been rising. It's fun to collect and display, and if the item has a known-name or endorsement on it, it could be a jewel in disguise.

Professional game used equipment is another matter -- everyone wants equipment that's been used in a game. Watch out for fakes, get a guarantee if buying from an unknown seller or a source that you're unfamiliar with. And if the piece is also autographed or is from a special game, watchout for rising prices!
