She also has "happy accidents" as they were called by a former professor. At times something might happen to a piece that would cause others to say it is ruined. Laurie will just set those pieces aside and try to use them to her advantage.
One time she had a nice smooth sphere that was very wet, roll of the studio table after a little cat nudge. It hit the floor and developed a flat spot. She looked at the now, non-perfect sphere and realized it would make a nice base. She now uses that basic idea for two of her body shapes. A happy accident!
