Dog Antiques and Collectibles

By , About.com Guide

Dog lovers have their pick from a wide variety of antiques and collectibles to choose from, including art, pottery, glass, toys or paper. Most collectors seem to gravitate to a particular breed or perhaps a particular type of collectible. e.g. Postcards, figurines, toys, ornaments, dog-themed salt & peppers, cookie jars or even something useful like bookends! If you're drawn to doggie collectibles for yourself or as a gift for a dog lover, you're sure to find plenty in the breed or collectible on your radar.

Breeds that seem to be high on the list of popularity include poodles, scotties and pugs.
