Ali Collectible Publication Announced


March 2002 (Newstream) -- Muhammad Ali, The Greatest, an 128 page collectible magazine authorized by Muhammad Ali and edited by renowned boxing historian and writer Bert Randolph Sugar, will go on sale March 20 at www.alimagazine.com. The colorful collectible features articles written by former champs Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Jose Torres and other boxing personalities, will also be available at newsstands in time for Father's Day giftgiving.

The publication, priced at $19.95, features photographs of Ali throughout his career, LeRoy Neiman paintings and sketches, cartoons by the New York Daily News' Pulitzer Prize winning artist Bill Gallo and candid photos from the set of the Ali movie, starring Will Smith. It also includes Ali's picks for his top 10 heavyweights and top 10 heavyweight fights of all time.

John Meringolo, publisher of Muhammad Ali, The Greatest called the one of a kind publication, "the perfect gift for Ali fans, memorabilia collectors, fans of Will Smith and the Ali movie, as well as the millions of young people who never had the opportunity to see Ali fight or understand the impact he had on society."
