Guide Picks - Top Picks for Collectible Storage
The perfect piece has been added to your collection, but it's time to take down the display and put it in storage. Many times collectors carefully put an item away only to find damage when it's taken out next season. Help minimize the possibility of damage by careful storage.

The first step is using acid free paper to wrap the collection. Next, make sure the collectibles are in a climate controlled area (e.g. closet, spare bedroom, never attic or basement). If space is a premium and the original boxes are not used, consider some of these options.

1) Ornament Boxes
Although these storage units can seem costly, the investment in the glass ornaments they hold is much more so. A large assortment of beautiful storage boxes that don't have to be hidden away!

2) Sterilite Storage Drawers
Although some purists might balk at using plastic to store their fragile glass ornaments, I've never had a problem. I love these drawers, they stack well and I can just open a drawer at a time when I am looking for something in particular.

3) Archival Supplies
Acid free tissue paper, both in sheets and shredded.

4) Silica Gel Desiccant Paks
If moisture is a possible problem, stick a few of these silica gel packs in the containers.
