The second jar in the Keebler Collector Series is the Cracker Barrel. Since crackers are such a large part of their business, the Keebler Company wanted a jar to represent crackers.

This jar represented a special challenge, they wanted to continue with a theme of warmth and nostalgia, but of course a cracker barrel can only be one color -- brown! The wood grain, the copper colored straps and the three elves busy working away all depict a feeling of fun and wonder. The jar also shows the team work ethic that is the Keebler work ethic. The jar tells a story of three elves working together to produce a perfect cracker.

The three elves on the Cracker Barrel are of course Ernie, Sam the baking elf and Simon using his magic wand to put that extra buttery touch on the crackers.

One of the things that impressed me most about both the tree and the cracker barrel jars are the glazes that are used and the wide range of colors. All the jars are hand painted in a factory in China.
