Here comes old Father Christmas! He travels throughout the land, over hills, rivers and mountains to fulfill the wishes of little children all over the world. But at no time is he more mystical and magic than when he makes his way along the unmarked path of the deep, dark forests. Birds sing to him from their high perch on evergreen limbs, deer stop and perk up their ears as he passes by. Rabbits and chpmunks guide hiim along his way, as he walks through soft pine-strewn snow. The Woodland Santa is most at home in the dark quiet forest. He stops to break off a few pine needles from a tree and as he breaks them apart and inhales their fresh pine scent, he hums a little song, happy and at peace with the night.

As the Woodland Santa continues along, he sees the brilliant white stars twinkling through the branches of the pine trees and they remind him of the tiny lights on the trees in parlors and living rooms in homes throughout the world, all waiting for the gifts he brings to be placed underneath their branches.
