Don & Norma Winton: Hello to everyone, this is kind of a unique experience for us to talk on this type of communications. Nancy: If I bring a red Foo dog cookie jar to the Belleville show, will you sign it?? Don & Norma Winton: Oh course Nancy. They are pretty rare, we didn't make too many of them only a dozen or so that I remember. Nancy:Thank you - I'll be the one at the show with the red Foo Dog Jar. Don & Norma Winton: Nancy, Don't remember a red dog. Nancy:This one is definitely red - in fact, Barb has a picture of it on her site. Don & Norma Winton: Yes, only a few I would like to see it because I haven't seen any since I made it. It's been a long time ago. It was in the fifties. BarbC: There are no rhinestones in the eyes of her jar, did you add rhinestones to them? Don & Norma Winton: I don't ever remember putting rhinestones in the eyes. Donna:Don, Do you know of any other company that made jars with the matte brown stain. Don & Norma Winton: Treasure Craft made the brown jars first. They did the first staining on jars and it was quite dark. Ours was more of a light tan to darker tan. Not too much of an extreme. Treasure Craft did brown before us or maybe right about the same time. Elsie: Is licensing a really big problem? Jarkbark: Yes, Elsie. I do lot of licensing and it is hard to deal with. Jarkbark: Elsie, when you do licensing... there are about forty lawyers involved. Don & Norma Winton: I have been busy getting things ready for the cookie jar show and salt & pepper convention on July 13th. We are doing a one a kind salt and pepper shaker for their auction. Nera: Where is the salt and pepper convention? Don & Norma Winton: Salt and Pepper Convention is Bloomington, Minnesota. We are their guests, as they invited us to come. |
