Another satisfying mystery by Joanne Fluke that leaves you hungry for more! Hannah Swensen is a heroine most of us can relate to as nothing is quite perfect in her life. She has an interfering mother, a demanding cat, a sister that always looks great and now, in this book, she realizes her clothes are getting a little too snug. But she does have a great bakery -- The Cookie Jar with delicious, fresh-baked, goodies that you can almost taste and smell.

Lemon Meringue Pie Murder has Hannah and her two sisters, Andrea and Michelle, teaming up to solve the murder that their mother, for once, discovered. It's usually Hannah that is stumbling over bodies. Meanwhile everyone starts to wonder -- Will Norm pop the question?

This fun, non-gory, non-violent mystery book is one makes me smile as Hannah finally figures it all out in her unusual style. And in our world of too much realism, no-holds barred, television shows and crime books, it's nice to have a book that you can share with anyone from your minister to your kids! As a bonus, the book contains eight original recipes that are guaranteed to make those same folks very happy.

And I must credit Hannah for my status as the "cookie mom", the Short Stack cookies in Blueberry Muffin Murder are different, delicious and very easy to make. My son's friends have reminded me several times that I haven't baked any "Breakfast Cookies" lately. (Check Fluke's website for a free monthly desert recipe.)

And why, as the Collectibles Guide, am I telling you about this book? Our sleuth is not only the owner of The Cookie Jar Bakery, she is a thrift store regular and her mother has an antique shop. Just the kind of stuff we all relate to.

More About Lemon Meringue Pie Murder from Kensington Publishing:
"Lemon Meringue Pie Murder," Hannah Swensen's fourth mystery, is set in July just as the residents of Lake Eden, Minnesota are gearing up for their annual Independence Day parade and celebration. Mosquito repellent is the perfume of the month, the air is so muggy it's almost like breathing invisible pudding, and any woman foolish enough to wear high-heels finds them sinking in to the asphalt of the Red Own Grocery parking lot. As the mercury soars, most of Hannah's customers at The Cookie Jar are dying to get out of the heat. Ultimately, one of them does. Hannah must discover who murdered this long-time resident, fashion trendsetter, and charter member of the Lake Eden gossip hotline.
