Prices Realized from eBay/Live Auction - May 2003.

Bidders could place absentee bid, but it appeared that the bidder's highest bid was immediately bid. This seemed to happen even when there was only one bid. For example, a Winnie the Pooh Halloween jar below had a starting price of $25. with one absentee bid showing. That was the only bid on the jar and it went for $240. (This is the jar that typically sells for less than $30. on eBay) I noticed similar bids done this way and would certainly make me leery of placing an absentee bid.
There was a fairly high buyers premium of 17.5% with a 2.5% reduction if paying by cash, check or money order.
Shipping charge for one jar was $25.
Would I bid again? Probably not unless it was something I really had to have!
