December 2009 Update:
A spot check of Metlox prices around the Internet and at antique shops, has shown these price ranges to still be relevant in many cases. Cookie jar prices at online auctions have sunk to bargain levels and it's not only difficult, but impossible to keep up with weekly auction fluctuations. Yes, many jars can be found at a fraction of the price shown, but that's not always the case.
The below prices are suggested ranges only. Prices are a combination of book values, online auctions, online dealer stores and cookie jar dealers. Most of these jars can be found at lower prices at online auctions, but that is not always a true value. Consideration must be taken as to when auction was held, images used, category, and text. All of these things can greatly affect the price realized.

*Metlox made a three-piece cannister set and a four-piece cannister set of Beau Bear. The cookie jar was identical to the extra-large Beau Bear. The smallest piece in the set of four is hard to find and, according to Collector's Encyclopedia of Metlox Potteries: Identification and Values, the color is believed to be maroon.
