There is one very special place for Harry Potter fans to visit this Holiday season -- the Marshall Field's store on North State Street. Marshall Field's is celebrating the Harry Potter phenomena with wonderful animated windows, a huge tree and large vignettes towering over the shoppers on the main floor. The display is worth a special trip to Chicago if you are one of the lucky ones within driving distance. I was totally impressed with the rest of the store too, from the excellent customer service to the great Holiday displays throughout the store. The store quickly went on my top ten list of favorite shopping spots, even though I did get lost several times trying to figure out what escalator or elevator I was on!

Although there are no pictures of the tree, it is on display in the Walnut room on the seventh floor. The Holiday tree is 45 feet high and is topped with a seven foot Hedwig. Also on the tree are over 1000 handcrafted Harry Potter ornaments including the Nimbus broom, potion bottles, etc.

If you can't go to Chicago, take a tour now as I show off these pictures from my latest trip!

Harry Potter Controversy
