Holiday Tips and Ideas

In the master bedroom a built-in hutch is usually filled with books and photographs. During the holidays, many of the books are taken out and different "houses" are displayed. Cookie jar houses, Dept 56 North Pole Village and Hallmark houses are added to the shelves.
This picture shows the top of the hutch with the North Pole pieces on the top. These are kept up all year round, but only lighted during the Christmas season.
A view of one of the shelves shows my collection of the Hallmark Nostaglic Houses Series -- yes, it is complete! I like keeping this series together and it's always a problem on the best way to show it off. I may keep this idea for a few years.

Check out this great three piece set! Not a holiday piece, but it is kept here all year long. I'm not familiar with when it was made or even who it was made by, it was an eBay purchase.

All collectibles from my personal collection.
