The collection I have on display is just a small fraction
of all of the Halloween items and decorations we have.
Each year we decorate the inside and outside and add new things to our collections.
Since I collect pottery and tins, I included some of these in my display. My pottery Jack-O-Lantern
collecting started with my Mom giving me the orange Jack O Lantern you see in this
display that she made in a ceramics class. I then began to watch for any Halloween items,
particularly Jack-O-Lanterns to add to the collection. I try to find jack o lanterns
that have unique color, texture and faces. In addition to the ceramic pumpkin I received
from my Mom, the other pumpkins include pottery and terra cotta. We have a black cat,
so several years ago I added a pottery black cat. All of the pumpkins and the cat can be
illuminated with candles or lights and make a great display when all are lit. Finally,
I included McDonald's and Burger King Halloween items because my kids are collected these
over the years as well.
