Whenever you see the endings "-ologist" or "-ology", you've usually
gone beyond the hobby stage and into a scientific career. For a collector of
shells, as opposed to a marine biologist, it might be better to use the words
"conchophile" or "conchophily," although they don't show up in a dictionary.
