Top 10 Sports Cards - December 10, 2002
~Michael Eisner

With the NFL and NBA in full play-mode and the Hot Stove League just beginning to warm up in baseball, December is proving to be one of the year's most exciting months. Keeping that in mind, let's take a look at the 10 hottest sports cards and memorabilia products from this past week. Happy hunting!

10. Fleer Box Score FB - The mini-set box-topper concept is taking the hobby by storm. Each mini-set contains a mini-memorabilia card and every mini-card in the eset is serial-numbered.

9. 2002 Bowman Chrome Uncirculated Rookies -With the deadline steadfastly approaching, the unredeemed cards are starting to heat up. One uncirculated redemption can be found in every hobby box of 2002 Bowman Chrome baseball.

8. 2002 Leaf Rookies and Stars Baseball - the short-prints and variations are causing quite a stir amongst the hobby-elite.

7. 2001 Topps Tribute - The predecessor to this year's version, the 2001 is drying up by the second. As I mentioned last week, unopened boxes are almost impossible to find and if you do happen to stumble upon a box, expect to fork over $600 for it.

6. 2002 Upper Deck SP Game-Used Basketball - The Yao Ming rookie card is smokin! So are the gold rookie parallels, numbered to just 50 copies.

5. 2002 Topps Factory Baseball Set - The 2002 Draft-Pick insert set has been scorching hot. Sets have been selling well at $65-70 per.

4. 2002 Upper Deck SP Game-Used Golf - Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. What's his last name, again? Just kidding.

3. 2002 Topps Tribute - Unopened boxes are flying off shelves at $285-300 per, and I mean flying!

2. 2002 Topps Pristine Football -A smashing success in the product's first week.

1. 2002 Topps T-206 "Black Back American Beauty" Honus Wagner - This card, which hasn't even been released yet, has been the talk of the hobby this past week. OPnly 5 copies have been printed and randomly inserted into the upcoming T-206 series 3. If you, or someone extremely lucky that you know, are fortunate enough to pull this gem from a pack, expect to receive a pretty penny for your find.
